By submitting an ESSAY/ACADEMIC PAPER you must agree to the terms and conditions below.

The 2010 Awards are open to FINAL year or PENULTIMATE year UNDERGRADUATE students ENROLLED in DEGREE programmes in the academic year, 2009/2010 AND to FINAL year students ENROLLED in DEGREE programmes in the academic year 08/09. Submissions will also be accepted from students studying on either a PART-TIME or FULL-TIME basis. MATURE students are also eligible including those who have obtained a previous degree AS LONG as they are CURRENTLY ENROLLED in an undergraduate degree programme in the academic year 2009/2010. You MUST fall into the above list in order to qualify for the Awards.
All ESSAY/ACADEMIC PAPER submissions must be made online by the deadline 15th March in PDF or Word format, hard copies will not be considered.
The Undergraduate Awards of Ireland and Northern Ireland will not accept any responsibility for ESSAY/ACADEMIC PAPER that has not been submitted properly.
Your submission can only be entered ONCE to the Awards into ONE of the 25 categories. You should submit to the subject category to which your ESSAYS/ACADEMIC PAPERS predominately belongs.
You can submit a MAXIMUM of 3 papers IN TOTAL but ONLY one paper will be short-listed for any one student. The minimum acceptable mark for submission is a high 2.1, or above (or equivalent grade). Your submission is required to be accompanied by a 100 word abstract together with a number of keywords that reflect the central themes of your submission in order to be considered.
The ESSAY/ACADEMIC PAPER MUST be your own work and will be checked for plagiarism.
All ESSAY/ACADEMIC PAPER will initially be reviewed, graded and shortlisted by the Judging Panels. The decision of the Judging Panels is final.
The Undergraduate Awards of Ireland and Northern Ireland holds the copyright on all submissions. This means that students release the copyright to the Undergraduate Awards of Ireland and Northern Ireland.
